Lyari's oldest restaurant
Juna Masjid hotel in Baghdadi is so old that it is unclear when it was first made. This is said to be the oldest restaurant in Lyari and has existed prior to the creation of Pakistan.
Juna Masjid hotel started as a tea stall, and is now famous for making lentils. The restaurant is located on Abdul Latif Bhittai road, which was formerly called Atma Ram Pritam Das road as Hindu families would take the ashes of the deceased on this road before throwing them into the Lyari river. This restaurant and its historical significance is a reminder of the religious diversity of this area.
